ugh i hate hearin about people like this.

 

My cousin was killed walking to a McDonalds by a drunk driver at 4 in the afternoon. This was to be the guys 7th DUI. His license had been suspended and he had served jail time prior. Unfortunately while the prosecutor wanted to lock this guy up forever, my aunt and uncle were too grief stricken to get involved. My aunt is still fucked up to this day.

 

Oh wow... thats HORRIBLE!!! I have lost so many friends and family members to alcohol related accidents. There it no excuse for people to be so careless!! It only takes one time for things to go horribly wrong. For those of you that are including Robbie and his family in your prayers... thank you so much! I think thats the only thing thats really going to get him through this.

 

Damn man, thats tough. Fuck life in prison. Then we are paying for their asses to chill in prison for however many years. Off that bitch.

Jailtime costs money and those places are overcrowded as it is. It's not in the govt's best interest financially to lock up every DUI for an extended period of time. Sad but true. For a more realisitic deterrent I'd recommend much much longer license suspensions, like 3-5 yrs first offense, and like 10k in mandatory fines.

 

Rarely? How about never? Stop it. Take a cab.

you're an idiot. did it work once? no...do people smoke weed? yes (and really how bad are people that smoke compared to people who drink when it comes to destruction and death?). do people still do coke? yes. do people still do heroin? yes. it doesn't matter if it's illegal or not it'll just put more people behind bars, for stupid shit. more government control...that's EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW.
