Progressive is fine until they they raise your rates for equipment and non-moving violations.
they never did that to me....been with them a total of approx. 6 years or so..and at some point in that (16-18 years old) I was at -17 points on driving record (im 24 now, w/ +1 points and clear record, but still...)i went BACK to progressive....98' Eclipse GSX..$73 a month full coverage.. w/ an SR22
To OP: check other peoples rates (Go through Al Vincents, which are mutual insurance people who go through many different insurance groups.. they WILL get you the best for the least, ill even give you a number and name of who to see if you want to....but yes, full coverage is the way to go IMO, unless you have some really old , busted beater
PM me if you want the name and number...

They tried to raise my rates ~$500 for equipment violations which I didn't understand at the time since I had not received any moving violations. When I called Progressive they said that since they show up on your MVR they charge you for them, even if they are non moving violations. There was a thread awhile back where a few others experienced the same problem with progressive.
