EG one will not work. EK non VTEC comes with a cat. Check with Honda if they still warranty it. It happened to me a few years back and it was replaced no charge.

i dont see how a 97 civic will be under any kind of warranty. but ill give it a whirl. still need one though

You can use an eg one you'll just have no cat.
