Depending on what company it is, the best you can hope for is that they will come back out and move it to the correct position for you. Just explain what happened and ask if they can help you out. Do not blame the driver or the company just calmly and respectfully tell them the situation and ask them that the next time a driver is in the area if he can help you out. Drivers and dispatcher get yelled at all day by everybody and when somebody is calm and respectful they usually get taken care of.

HAHA soooo true. i work as a dispatcher at a concrete company. my job description might as well be "punching bag" as much as i get screamed at for their stuff being late
Take it to the precinct station and to speak to a supervisor. Then explain the situation. Be polite......it might work. But do it ASAP. Once the ticket goes in you will probably have to go to court.
