The Haygood Plaza Azteca is horrible. Go to the one on Holland Rd. Its a million times better. Great service, food is better, everything is better.

I like the one on Providence. They have some down times but I am happy with it. I haven't been to the one on Holland since the rebuild. I need to go tho!
The Plaza Aztecas on Haygood and Providence suck dick.
The Plaza Aztecas on Laskin and Holland are awesome.
El Gran Rodeo on Princess Anne (near Kempsville) is pretty good as well.

i feel the same way but except the gran rodeo part.
i hear you man. same here, i havent even tried everything on the menu, cause i only want the burrito san jose or the chile verde. shit man, i feel like going right now.
El Gran Rodeo is the best by far, strong drinks and great food as well as great wait staff... we go every friday.
I concur. I took the recommendation of the person who listed El Gran Rodeo earlier in this thread (as well as the reviews site) and I enjoyed the visit. I had the Enchiladas Super Rancheros ; the portion was huge (considering I typically keep to "portion sized meals") and the taste was outstanding. I still prefer (and perhaps it's a loyalty thing) El Parian, though that may change once they open up near the Food Lion across from the Brewsters Ice Cream place on VaB Blvd. Time will tell I suppose.
Appreciate the last minute recommendations all, as it was only a semi-planned outing tonight (wasn't sure when the wife would get off work).
Sol De Mexico near gold's gym on princess anne road. It is a little mexican restaurant but has some amazing food there! And a lot of different things to order
