Anyone know any shops that can paint pearl. Talked to acouple but they say that cant guarenntee that it will match, and for what they want to charge its kinda ridiculous. The car is a stock white pearl so its not like im tring to get something custom, just tring to fix a fender. Thanks for any help.

If anyone guarantee's that they can get a peral to match perfectly to OEM, they are lying to you.

Some might have a better shot that others. but still.

 

It is almost impossible to match a pearl paint job. Things such as air pressure, spay technique, and gun distance will all change the apperance of the pearl dramatically, even with factory paint. What any good painter will have to do is blend your hood, bumper, door, and maybee even a-pillar which is probably connected to the quarter panel. Thats like half the car being painted. Thus the high cost, plus pearl is a super expensive paint.

 

Check out Bruces on Broad st. They nailed it on my Prelude back in the day.

 

I have boys that do it on the side. but as dude said b4 they are gonna have to blend it. theres no such thing as matchin it perfectly. Hit me with a pm if your interested I can hook u up.

Impossible to match? Yes, but it can be close depending on how it is mixed with the binding, and how much the paint has faded on the car. It can be close, but it will never be exact. The main issue with trying to match with Pearl is how it is blended. I had VAPaint mix me up a batch when I had my accord. And they fucked it up,(too much pearl in the binding) so you don't really know how things are going to look until after it is shot on the care because each is mix is different. That is the major factor. Pearl really isn't that expensive, in the whole scheme of things.

Thats because they blended it. You can't shoot pearl on a car (and expect it to have the exact same mix that was shot on the car to being with, and with weather taking its toll on paint) and expect it to come out like it did out of the factory.
