Mr. Maverick the American Armed Service is at war we are at home on the internet talking about it. Everyone talks about supporting the war well if that is so then why have Recruiting numbers dropped. Everyone is focused on Iraq. Iraq did not cause 9/11. Saudi Arabia harbored the terrorist that did that to us but we did not go after them NO we went after a counrty that could have been left alone and completed the mission in Afgan. I served in both operations and that dosent make me better then any other American, I just have a different view on the situation on the mis-guilded use of the U.S Military and don't want to see it happen again. I lost three good friends and had My hummer hit with rocket losing part of my hearing, some feeling on the right side on my body and a fractured hip and pelvic bone, so bad I had to trade in my manual vehicle because I couldnt drive it all for WMD that did not exsist.
Sorry if I was unclear in what I was tring to convey.
Speed..No you are right but most of America is more worried about Gas prices and is the local starbucks closing. For a good percent of America it dosent affect them. We have an estimated 305,561,083 people living in America and a military of 3.5 to 4 million something is wrong with that number, but this is a different topic all together.

Well, the nation at a whole is at war. You know that whole together we stand divided we fall thing. It takes a lot more than a front line to fight a war.
Don't get me wrong brother I completely understand You but a good part of America just dosen't get it I'm glad you do. When you say we are at war..America and all of our allies will alway's be at war. This world will always be at war so long as we have different views the way a country should be ran or religon. In this case we are not fighting the right war.
I'm Republican and have voted republican most of my life but after the last 8 years and seeing McCains view on this Iraqi war and he backed Bush on this Ghosthunt for Weapons of non-exsistance I can't follow his path. Not to be racist but we need to break the chain of the Old rich white guy that is out of touch with the 21st century. 19th century thinking in this century wont get us far. We as America need to make a change. Obama might not be the best person but he is a start. Can you really see Sen. Palin running the U.S? She has just as much experience as Obama and McCain picked her as a running mate.
No harsh feelings to anybody on here this is a good topic to have on VADriven.
And Mccain really wanted Lieberman as his VP but his campaign pushed him to pick Palin to ignite the base (which it did) and as a ploy to try and pick up Hillary supporters who hate Obama. I Would've liked to see him pick Lieberman but I guess they thought picking another moderate wouldn't have been so bright.
