stay n/a,
What is it you do? Are you upset that you have to spend so damn much of your burger flipping money on tickets cause you can't understand why a speed limit is in place?

There are too many short exit/entrance ramps for someone to justify going balls out. I hate driving on that stretch of 64/95 for that very reason, I'll take 295 or 288 because I have more space and less traffic to worry about.
you are absolutely right man i agree with you, i never was trying to say that people should be able to "Blast" that highway or that cops are idiots for doing there jobs. My only point was that the ammount of cops in that area was excessive. We normally have between 2-4 cops in that area and they pull people all the time that are going way to fast. i guess i just think they could be put to better use doing other things

What makes it excessive? There are A LOT of speeders in that section. One wreck means MANY possible outcomes, from delayed traffic for HOURS to fatalities. If you were to actually put some time into your thoughts and the positions others hold, you'd more than likely understand.

1 Cop Car = 1 car pulled over. How many cars go though that section on a daily basis? How long does one traffic stop take? Could there be other speeders while one is sitting on the side of the road with blue lights behind him?

But I know cops so this post is probably invalid.

I say we take a stand right here and now and no one follow any traffic laws. If a cop gets behind you and flips the lights on just keep driving and shoot em the finger. If we all speed and don't follow the laws than the system will loose its power!!! So what if innocent people get killed during the chaos. It will be bad ass! Lets stick together as Americans and do what our forefathers would have done. I say we leave this country and go to England and take it back from them. We will then have a holiday after we claim the land for our selves from english and the holiday will be call thanksgiving day. Then once we are in controll of are own land we can start a government and create our own laws. We will start our own police department and they will govern our roads from our new laws. As time goes on and we'll already be dead and the laws will conform with time and then the people of our land will leave and take america back over and have their own holiday called thanksgiving day. The circle will continue and we can blame it all because we wanted to speed in our little peice of shit rice burner!

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above;

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.

Do you think people would drive the speed limit if cops didn't make a point to pull people over? Do you think if there wasn't a constant threat of consequence, people would give 2 shits about safe driving speed? Just having a law doesn't necessarily lead to it's adherence, there has to be active enforcement of regulations. If raising the fines on a notoriously sped on stretch of road doesn't stop someone from speeding, then maybe seeing 10 people pulled over at once on that stretch of road will make him keep at reasonable pace through there from now on.

Of course we all speed. Even the most well intentioned driver speeds sometimes because you just don't realize it or think you're going a safe speed. That is precisely why active and visible enforcement is necessary. If I just haven't been paying attention to my speed, and I see a cop up ahead, I check my speed and if I'm speeding I slow down. If I see 10 cops on one stretch of road, I'm pretty likely to pay special attention to my speed on that road.

If your cop friends really wanted to help people and didn't wanna just write tickets all day, they should join the richmond police instead. They're understaffed, underfunded, and certainly have more "real life" problems then speeding on 95.
