I say sell your honda and get something rwd (meaning fun)

but I'm what's known as a rwdfag.

As to your question, take it from someone who's owned both: turbo cars are cool, they're fast, they make fun noises, but...

there is NOTHING like a built engine with individual throttle bodies and wild cams at full wail. Turbos/superchargers really can't compare IMO. They all have their ups and downs, turbos/superchargers can of course go much faster, but there's something about the way a naturally aspirated engine sounds, feels, looks, drives, etc. that just appeals to me.

To each his own, I personally think most econoboxes are ugly, but thats just my opinion.

MG with a b-series? Doubtful, but nice try.

Seriously though, go boost, you're never going to make close to that amount of power NA.. was there even a need to ask that question?

Personaly if I had the money I would go with a supercharged built motor or all motor with a nasty ITB setup. Ive heard of them costing A LOT of money but its odd and chances are you will never see another person with the same setup in our area. Turbo hondas seem to just be the norm.

P.S dont shoot for 500hp unless your going to make it into a pure drag car. Its just a pain to fix everything that gonna break. Plus if your goin turbo think about lag. Shoot for around 300 for your first turbo build. It will be alot easier to make and you can keep the car streetable.

P.P.S- K Series FTW
+1 I will building my turbo car very shortly. And this will be my first turbo car. I will be shooting for 325-350whp in a daily driver.

Boost is fun, but a pain in the ass. All motor is fun, but not as much, especiallly in a FWD car. Searching for boost leaks and all the bs that happens gets old very fast though in my opinion.

I had an mr2 turbo though so it was much harder to work on than a hatch would be.

Yeah, but once you get used to the common trouble spots and replace with quality stuff, you will have a lot less headaches. You still always have to monitor everything though, and that gets old. N/A you can just let it warm up and go.

I must say though that I have more respect for a fast N/A car than a boosted one. Don't get me wrong though, if I had 5 grand laying around my vette would be TT asap

I hafta disagree with ya my friend, he could make 500 whp n/a, likely make less then half of that in torque, and hafta spin it so fast itl affect the earths rotation at redline. but all joking aside with the right planning, parts, and care in assembly it could happen. hell im sure its been done. but i cant help but think it would be much easier to do it with a turbo!

question really is how deep your pockets are....boost is always going to be cheaper. more headaches, yes. i just finished mine, nx2000 making probably 230-240whp , ill know this weekend. Thats with a total of 1800 dolars invested, and that included the car. to do that na with my motor (sr20de) is close to impossible, i dont care how big your budget is. keep in mind drivability, a 500 hp na fwd 4cyl is going to be a pain to drive on the streets. considered one of the tl swaps? i think hasport makes them for your car now.....all motor hp, v6 torque, factory power band sounds kinda cool to me.
