'03 Lexus IS300 vs '03BMW 330i ZHP
330i for sure.
Is300 is a good platform for modding and tinkering with, but your not going that route. Not enough to look at, imo, and not the most comfortable Lex.
330i ZHP has enough to look at and enough zoom to pass the assholes on the blvd. Very comfortable and many luxuries as well. Def. the car I would want to commute in everyday or be in on a trip.
Oh, and I have driven both.

I've driven both.
I'd got for 330i ZHP.
The IS300, to me, feels more like they rebaged a toyota than anything else. ( I understand that Lexus is Toyota, but more so that they BUILT a toyota in terms of refinement and feel and slapped on the lexus logo.)
I didn't like anything about it other than looks. Or if you were going to go big turbo, then duh.
I have a <3 for ZHP package 330's just not fond of the all black interior, looks almost cheap to me, I'm not sure what you're spending, but most ZHP packaged I've seen are low-mid 20's? Unless you are going high mileage 70k+ in which case I'd still fork up a few more bucks and buy a M5 or 02ish M3.
It was one of the most amazing cars I have ever driven (M5 that is)

Yeah, go for an M5 Tito.
E34s are affordable, very rare and an absolute blast to drive. Nothing else like them. No warranty, sure, but they are a tad cheaper.
E39s are pretty damn cool too, also getting to be pretty affordable, although they're more commonplace than E34s.
We can be M5 assbuddies!
Or perhaps go for either an E34 or E39 540/6speed

my biggest worry about the 330 is i work on a construction site, so the dust is an issue (huge lot, lots of cars. road to it is just dusty/occasionally has a layer of mud over the asphalt)....i think i'll just be back to cleaning any car i get every week like i was with my integra. that car sucked to drive on a construction site btw; fucking thing could barely get into the parking lot w/o scraping.

I can't comment on the Bmw, cause I've never driven them.
The is300 is pretty fun, but if you plan on modding for higher hp, I hope you have extra cash to shell out for a new tranny. They tend to take a shit once you introduct boost into the equation.
