I can't even stand when my friends drink and drive and don't call me for a ride, even if its at 2-3a.m. What makes you any different?

You drove intoxicated, I'm damn sure you knew there was a law against it, you proceeded to break it, assumed "It'll never happen to me", got caught. You probably think the cop was an asshole for writing you a ticket, but its ASSHOLES LIKE YOU that kill MY FRIENDS and other peoples loved ones. It's fucked up, because a majority of the time the drunk lives. So fuck you, get your help elsewhere.

You KNEW you were gonna drink and shouldn't drive before you drank-shoulda put those keys away to begin with or secured a ride. Such irresponsibility, tsk tsk

and since I never drink and drive-ever I'm goin to say i agree:

even with all the flaming i have recieved information that has been helpful. all the flaming doesnt bother me really. it makes you guys look like jackasses. why keep reiterating what a few jackasses made apparent in the beginning. im sure if someone brought up your past records the majority of you wouldnt have much to say.. i made the thread to attempt to retrieve information from people who im sure have been through it before and so others can view this and maybe get some info for themselves without having to make one and get flamed all over again.
i have gotten a bunch of names of good lawyers and all, but have also heard a couple times that either getting a court appointed attorney or not getting one at all is really as far as you need to go. no sense in spending money on somebody who is going to get you the same thing as what you could yourself or someone else could for much less...
