You can usually take out water spots with vinegar. Or a nice foam pad.

Or P21S Gloss Enchancing Paintwork Cleanser...for those of us who don't like to put acids on out paintwork.

I will never put vinegar on paint. And pads for bad waterspot removal is a double edged sword. It works, but you'll have to use a couple steps because anything that doesn't break down the hard deposits will swirl the paint with them... not a big deal if your next step is swirl removing.
