The amount of boost the B20 can handle depends on the turbo size, how much fuel you have available, and who is tuning the car.

fuel and turbo are not my limiting factor at the moment. right now its the depth of my wallet and the size of my balls that are keeping me at 10lbs. i am not brave enought to turn it up with the stock sleeves. i might one day though. i want to reach the 400 hp mark. i think 14lbs would get me there.

One thing is certain though: You'll make more power with the VTEC head, and the B20 head is pretty poor for flow. Really your only cash outlay will be for any conversion parts/lines that you need, and tuning. You should have everything else you need already if you're using a B17/B16 combo right now. You have the B16 head, why not use it and get all of the benefits from it?

Re: B20 oe B20 Vtec?
i had a b20 on 10psi and it was tuned very conservative to make it run a 12.90at 115 with a super t70 turbo. i drove the piss out of it every day and i put 10,000 miles on it b4 i sold it and never had a problem no smoking or nothing just its all in the tune. i now have a b20vtec set-up which ive been running all motor and ive just recently picked up a turbo kit so now im going boost on 10psi also. its really just all in the tune
