Default Cabins at Winterplace or Snowshoe

My friends and I are looking to go to a ski resort sometime next month and rent a cabin or lodge near winterplace and snowshoe for a couple days. But haven't found any that are somewhat close and at a decent price. Do any of you have a suggestion or favorite that you'll like to stay at?

There are a bunch of great places at Snowshoe, I don't really like winterplace.

Try to stay on top of the mountain at Snowshoe, it's the best up there, plenty to do and a lot more people are around... Plus you can just walk out from the locker room in the basement right onto the slopes.

I've stayed in Seneca and Allegheny Springs, those are my favorites. You can usually sleep plenty of people in them, so just divide up the costs, that works best. Good luck

If you're willing to drive an extra hour, look at Canaan Valley or Timberline. Less crowded, less expensive, and better slopes and conditions.

Yes.

No. - Better than Winterplace, YES; better than Snowshoe, NO. There's a reason why it's one of the only mountains in this part of the country that has enough snow fall and a high enough elevation to allow for the Snowshoe Hare's survival.

Timberline and Snowshoe are both great places. Timberline may be easier for families, but Snowshoe is more for the avid skiier, snowboarder, etc.
