Most Ive seen are now owned you younger guys and are pretty ragged. The seats and steering wheels look horrendous. Of course I was very anal w/ mine and the leather still peeled off the steering wheel and the seats creased up w/ a quickness.

I just want it for a cruiser... Id lower it and put some nice wheels on it and shave the trunk lid and stop.

That's my least favorite generation vert. Why don't you get a hard top and convert to targa?

i picked up a 95 for a good price. it has some wear but not bad for a 13 year old car. i know where a newer one (think a 01) is for a cheap price.

You are correct. I'm not going to lie, alot of people my generation abuse cars. There is a red one that runs around my area. Old man driving it and it's bone stock, paint isn't faded one bit. I'd LOVE to get that car.

I'd like to own a Foxbody Cobra, a 'sn95' Cobra or a 03-04 Cobra. All the others blah.
I put 'sn95' because I don't know the exact chassis code for the car. Did they make that year in a cobra? 94-95?
I'd really like to get a Foxbody Cobra but I don't have the use for two cars that just sit.

Yuck, you would want the worst color combo wouldn't you.

There's an SVT registry but I can't for the life of me remember the website. Did the guy that bought it seem to care about that kind of stuff, or did he just want the car? You could always try some of the Cobra specific websites and look around for it, maybe he joined a forum or something. Was it a local sale?

93 was the only Foxbody style, and the 93R.
94-95 had Cobra's still with the pushrod 5.0, and the 351W 95R.
96-98 had the DOHC all aluminum motors
99 was a heartbreaker originally due to power numbers, also first year of the "New Edge" style
Everyone knows about the only 00 Cobra made, best ever
01's were pretty much exactly like 99's
Then the 03/04's

Haha... beauty is in the eye of the beholder man. A red/tan car compliments a yellow/black car quite nicely. To me yellow/black is racey and red/tan is classy/rich etc. I believe the guy lived in SC at the time of purchase. I never met him. I took the car to my parents house in NC and detailed the crap out of it and let them sell it. I didn't want a perspective buyer to pull up to some 21 year old's ratty college house w/ his 5 other college roomates POS cars surrounding it etc. I was able to get a great price for the car and I think a good bit of that was the condition of the car (I took good care of it), the fact that it was mostly stock, and the setting. From what my parents told me the guy was very impressed w/ the condition of the car and had been having trouble finding one that had been taken care of. It'd be cool if he was a car nut, still had the car, and wanted to sell it I haven't found it on any for sale sites or on stangnet, SVTP, or mustangworld.

Only thing to correct... Ford did something to the '01s to correct for their major F up in '99. Those cars always dyno'd very well compared to even the "fixed" '99s and ran much better 1/4 mile times.
