imo their problem is not bringing over the jap versions of the cars we liked(after the founders son took over things have just gotten worse and worse, with the exception of their formula racing division, which supposedly all Honda engineers start out in). Either totally absent or watered down versions is what we got. Currently I like the Civic Ex coupe, but not the Si, also like the epa ratings on the civic hybrid, but if they offered the type-r sedan that they offer in japan here, I'd buy one in a heartbeat(in cash), not because its necessarily the best in it's class, or it's price range, but because I know that it will have been engineered on an even keel, nothing seriously lacking, and nothing seriously half-assed. But no, instead we get versions designed for a broader market range which may cut production cost a little, but they obviously arent anywhere near as in touch with their consumer base as they need to be. Also, if they had offered the nsx-r here, I'd have been at the top of the year(s) long waiting list and I'd have bought that before my house.

If Im not mistaken the only diff was in aerodynamics, however those slight differences equated to differences in performance that were def. not as slight as one would think. If spoon brings a ready-to-roll version here, and not just conversion parts, I will be all over it. Thing is I don't really see that happening especially since honda endorsed mugen officially with the 07" mugen civic. Please tell me Im stupid and wrong Dave, I need a fun car to hope for.

Wrong.

Americans only cry over those non-American market cars because they can't have them. Case in point.... S2000. If they would have only sold those in Japan, honda boys would treat them as the Holy grail of Honda performance cars. The new GTR is shaping up to be the same way. GTRs have always been treated like God cars, but now that one is available here people are a little more honest about them. The truth is, people put a halo above any car that's not available for them to buy.
