I'd like to own a Foxbody Cobra, a 'sn95' Cobra or a 03-04 Cobra. All the others blah.
I put 'sn95' because I don't know the exact chassis code for the car. Did they make that year in a cobra? 94-95?
I'd really like to get a Foxbody Cobra but I don't have the use for two cars that just sit.

1. good luck finding a real 93 cobra that someone is willing to let go of. Theres a lot of fobras though.

2. 03-04 cobras market value right now is pretty good. Some can be had for under 20k if you look hard enough. A few simple mods will get you mid/high 400's to the tire, and you will be happy with that for a little while. But im pretty sure you arent really looking at getting one at this point in time.

Its okay if you dont have any love for my new edge, Fuck you too nucca.

I took the car to my parents house in NC and detailed the crap out of it and let them sell it. I didn't want a perspective buyer to pull up to some 21 year old's ratty college house w/ his 5 other college roomates POS cars surrounding it etc. I was able to get a great price for the car and I think a good bit of that was the condition of the car (I took good care of it), the fact that it was mostly stock, and the setting. From what my parents told me the guy was very impressed w/ the condition of the car and had been having trouble finding one that had been taken care of. It'd be cool if he was a car nut, still had the car, and wanted to sell it I haven't found it on any for sale sites or on stangnet, SVTP, or mustangworld.

Only thing to correct... Ford did something to the '01s to correct for their major F up in '99. Those cars always dyno'd very well compared to even the "fixed" '99s and ran much better 1/4 mile times.

01 lower intake was different I believe.

It's been on our site long enough that it's probably sold and he never told me, but: http://www.performanceautosport.com/detail.asp?car=6062

Makes for a super fun road trip to get it back.

I'm sure reasonably priced 03-04 Cobras get bought up quick on there, right?

03 Cobras are being sold well under $20k nowadays. Most of them are high miles pieces of shit though with all the wrong mods and never been properly tuned and are probably ready to gernade a motor.

99 was a heartbreaker originally due to power numbers, also first year of the "New Edge" style
Everyone knows about the only 00 Cobra made, best ever
01's were pretty much exactly like 99's
Then the 03/04's
Never saw a "R" in person. I have read a little about them, any info on how to ensure you've came across a legit one? Badging, special letter or number in the Vin, etc...? I'm looking up this way for at 94-5 cobras.

Other than seeing a 351windosr in a SN-95 jank.

Yep. They fixed the 99's and applied that to the 01's. Mainly for 99, they re-worked the intake buy honing them, replaced the catback with a less restrictive one and reflashed the ecu. I miss my 99 sometimes, but haven't had the time yet to miss my 97.

94/95 were 5.0 cobras rated at 240 hp. 96-98 cobras were the first 4V dohc cobras.
