The Best Honda/ Acura Engine Series: D, B, K & etc?
Durability wise, D series all day. I've put 200K+ mile motors through more abuse than any other motor I've owned(not just honda)
A series as long as its EFI, is also really dependable and takes its fair share of abuse, but thats a whole other story.
B series has the power advantage over D, but parts cost more.
F/H series isnt a whole lot different than B stock wise, but I personally havn't had one of either to abuse.
K series has alot more power as is, but costs way more. And as also said, they dont go in non-K series cars very easily.
I'd say take whatever car you have(I dont know what you drive), look at what goes in it stock, and compare to any other popular swaps you can find. Weigh them in terms of the goals you're looking for, either dependability, or sheer power potential.
The right choice should be obvious after that.

step1- build any b series
step2- put it in a light shell (ef
)
step3- wax most k swapped cars without even trying hard
step4- roll down your window at the next light and tell them how you spent 3 grand less than them
step5- chuck the dueces and roll out

It really all depends on the money that you want to spend, and what your power goals are.
Almost universally Honda built motors are reliable, So thats not really a deciding factor.
But with that said, i think that price versus power availability for awhile the B series will be the best.
Id still be happy as hell in a d series Ef hatch tho.

Boosted D-series..... That's what I'm rockin' and I love it! Cheap and plentiful with lots of aftermarket support. Not even thinkin' about going b-series!
Do y'all want this in Tech or General? It can go to either, but doesn't belong here. Tech would be good if you guys actually start talking about the differences in the engines.
How about you buy something RWD with some balls. Or even FWD with balls.
