Also this is my first time ever using the Action setting on my camera... Turned out pretty well I'd say, definitely could be better but not bad for a first time. Just meant to be snapshots anyways.

 

 

 

The owner of that white Supra is the first person to get kicked out of a NASA event in 2009. His selfish jackassery may have cost us future use of VMP as an autocross site as well.

Oops... Sorry... Got there like 4 hours late so I missed all that... Didn't really notice any damage to the track though, hopefully they won't come down too harsh on NASA itself. I still plan on running as soon as I get my 7 up and running!

Thanks for posting the pics. I spent a lot of time today spinning in circles and looks like you got me going sideways in a few of them.

The supra was kicked out for drag racing of of the tech area near the course into the grid area. The tech and grid area are walking speed only. He's lucky no one walked out into the area while he was playing around.

 

The white Supra driver registered and went through tech then decided to haul ass across the lot back to his spot in plain view of everyone. Specifically....

Violation 1- speeding at the site (speed limit from the gate to the course is 3mph, i.e. walking speed. I'd say he was doing at least 40-50mph?)

Violation 2- speeding close to parked cars and participants on foot (i'd say 20-30 feet at most?)

Violation 3- driving on the course side of the caution tape without authorization (instead of going back around behind the snack bar, as he had done to get to tech, and as everyone else was doing to get back to their paddock spot)

Violation 4- loud exhaust/blow-off valve during quiet hour (VMP noise regulations are in effect until 12:00pm unless authorized by me, i.e. course pre-runs, and he wasn't authorized to make noise)

Violation 5- no helmet on (if he was gonna be on the course side of the caution tape hauling ass, he would need a helmet for sure!)


He was immediately ejected without refund.

With any luck nobody from VMP saw it happen, because that kind of jackassery could lose the site for everyone.
