local meets.
the most common spots are where the D-bags are. meet up with some people you know in those areas, but then take all the "normal" people with you to another spot.....the things i have noticed in the 6 months I have been here in VA is that the wash and Blue-light land are both filled with morons...I witnessed a guy do a burnout in front of a cop for christs sake.....on another occasion, a guy with a 240 had his hood popped checking his oil, walked behind to the trunk and some random ass guy came up and turned up his boost controller....
and the #1 rule on ALL auto forums for spots, and learn this, take it to heart.
DONT CALL THEM OUT. cops do come on here
if a good spot is a good spot, its cuz tards arent there....so dont start a thread saying
HEY, bad ass people with fast cars here =====>
cuz everyone that needs to be there, knows about the spot already.
please take this as informational, not an insult in anyway.

I think it's almost impossible to find a decent spot for cool enthusiasts to hang and talk cars without ricers and coppers fallowing close behind. It's a shame really, I had no trouble out in San Diego with crews like AWjunkies and SoCaleuro when I was rolling in the STi and S4. Not knocking the scene out here by any means, but from what I've seen it's mediocre as is the talent level!

Both are well put statements. There is only one spot I know of off the top of my head that is full of chill ass people and no idiots.
But I wont name it, cause then what you guys said might happen. Hence the reason the bass-pro shop parking lot is no longer a good spot. overrun with ricers.
the thing that i dont understand here is the segragation.......
where im from the domestic torque monsters mixed right with the import shoeboxes....out here they park on the other side of the median.
us imports had an understanding they would get most of us in the straight, and they knew we would get most of them in the corners....but everyone was cool with each other......then again, we did have some bastard children, like rx7's with vette engines and miatas with 305's in them to interbreed things
last week, i stopped by to meet up with some friends, saw about 20 domestics on one side of the parking lot divider, and 50 yards away all the imports.....makes me laugh.....do i need to organize a sit-in on the BP?

you can't compare west coast with east coast, unless you are talking about the VW scene. the east coast owns it hands down, and if you think that the quality of cars in this area that are vw's you are right. there are a few of us though who actually know how to build vw's.
you might see us out at said freedom wash. btw: i remember in the summer time you used to do dope drive bys in the IS-F lol. anyways if you see me out there i'll be in the stupid low, wide stretched tired vw
