My attempt at a fighter
Well not really a fighter, me just being too cheap (college student) to buy all the replacements after it got knocked over in a parking lot twice in one week a while back. The standard Acerbis headlight just painted. I've done a few iterations on trying to get the front cleaner but I want to keep the stock guages so that pretty much kills any clean look. Let me know if you have any advice. And yes I know its not the prettiest fighter but its still hella fun to ride
Some of its earlier days, notice the headlight connecction, ewwww

The more updated look, headlight slighly more cleaned up.

I can't really clean up any wires any more. I had some "zip-tied" up a little more but when I would turn the handlebars wire would disconect so I have to allow some slack.

Not really feeling it. From the front it looks alright, from the side it just looks silly. If you could mount the gauges further back and up on the handlebars and plus the lights more flush with the top of the fork it would look a lot better. Otherwise I think i would have left the bodywork on
The body work was smashed, I got knocked over in a parking lot. And, It won't mount any closer. I moved it in a good 2 inches from its original position. I tried mounting the guages on top of the tank, (I've seen it done b4) but the clutch cable wouldn't reach. IDK, I tried for like a month to clean up it in various stages and nonthing works. I've looked at other 500 fighters and they all remove the guages. So, idk..
get an Acewell guage, $120, and it's got everything you need on that bike in a 2" round guage. Then you can put the headlight on the fork where it belongs, and it'll look sooooo much better.

I want an acewell gauge myself. . But i just dont see me spending the money.. unless i get some extra...
Do what i did. .. . Zip tie the gauges to the top triple and DONT use a windscreen.. I know that you can take the screen off the acerbis light.. Also, i would mount the light as close to the forsks as i can... and low, by the lower triple per say. . .
Pretty much what i mean is to get rid of the screen, mount the light close to the forks and LOW and on top put the gauges (ziptied or however you decide to)
look
I agree too, just that headlight/gauge assembly like that makes it look like a praying mantis or something. With the open space between the forks, and what you have, it looks like there has GOT to be a way to fabricate something that would work with little work/$. Just my $.02
