All I was saying is most shops do offer free alignment checks, but to avoide techs wasting their time they will "change" what the specs are if it does happen to be in spec. All shops provide a printout, but that doesn't mean shit. You can change whatever the specs are sitting at.. You can change the tolerances and specs to whaever you want.... And still have a printout to show the customer how "bad" their alignment is, therefor selling an alignment.... So what I'm saying is, if anyone on here happens to take their car in for a "free check" don't be suprised when your alignment is "out of spec"... All the time I get free alignment checks come in and their alignment is good... And even people who already paid to get an alignment and I go to do it and it's in spec... Do I take advantage of that? No. I'm a honest person. I even feel bad when people spend $70+ on a four wheel alignment and there's no adjustments on the rear.
