There is also less expensive heat shrink that performs almost identically. Raychem stuff is nice, but anything Raychem makes is priced according to their reputation. There are other players in the game.. I'm trying to remember if Alpha FIT-601 is cheaper than the DR-25..

For street cars braided sleeving is nice too, if you don't need to worry about dirt or moisture in the harness (which split loom doesn't protect against either). Braid makes a great abrasive cover though, and it's easy to use. It's basically the quality versions of the cheap crap that you see a lot now on computer power supplies and that type of thing. Gamers are obsessed with it apparently, and I've started seeing the cheaper grades in tons of different colors.

Heres a great and cheaper way to go about things. Yet also to get the harness at its cleanest you still need to depin the harness.

Yeah but his car isn't a street car. :P
All of that stuff is overkill on a street car too.

cheapest no name shrink rap i have found and they have 4-1 which is nice in some places, they also sell dr-25 but u have to buy like 300 feet or so
