I've had mine for about 2 years now, paid $6000 for it. I got it when it had 118,000 miles on it, now its just shy of $150,000. Right now I'm trying to convince my wife to get a Prius so I can take her TC or let me get an 88 or 89 supercharged mr2. The problem is nobody around here has a semi decent one around here. I do love my mr2 . I did replace the timing belt on it and everything else that can be replaced when you drop the engine. the car is in great condition and the interior is very nice.

Wow, I just saw this thread.. I've had my MR2 for about 3-4 years now. Its a 91T and used to be white, but is now blue. When I got it, it had a JDM Gen2 swap in it with 30,000-40,000 miles on it. Its probably well over 100,000 miles now. The body had about 188,000 when my speedo snapped and now easily over 200,000.

I've replaced the transmission, replaced the timing belt, and put in a Spec stage 2 clutch when I swapped the tranny. Other than that, I really haven't had too many problems, but really haven't done much to it besides some Tein S-Tech springs.. I'd love to throw a KO Racing street brawler on it sometime in the near future...

pretty cool. how do you like your spec stage 2? i have the same clutch, and i was expecting a little more aggressive feel, but after about 8k, it feel just like stock. not that I mind, it's a daily driver, i just would have expected something a little more crisp.

 

Yea, same here. I thought it'd be a little more aggressive feeling, but I like it since its my daily too.
