Not sure, If I were to guess, I'd say one is a speed sensor, and one is a fork travel sensor for that detects wheelies.
Sorry I missed the lone yamaha championship, its easy to overlooks since the championship was won by James Toseland on a 1000RR.
By no means am I a yamaha hater, I love em, only japanese bike I'd buy besides honda, but in no way have they made more championship winning machines than honda.

Call it what you want, honda still has more championships than yamaha.
Should we look at WSS championships too?
In WSBK, corser brought suzuki 1 constructor championship, between haga and corser they brought yamaha 1 the year after, even tho the championship was won by a Honda rider that same year.
Otherwise WSBK has been absolutely dominated by Ducati.
Honda hasn't lost the WSS since what, like 2003, altho it seems yamaha finally looks poised to win it.
Suzuka 8hr championship, again, lead by Honda except last 07 when JOMO suzuki won it, then Honda took it back last year.
No matter how u cut it, Honda has more wins and more championships.
