ACU-4 is a really great site for autocross. It's way bigger and usually has longer faster courses than are possible at Pungo. Lot more people, too.

Here's some video I took at ACU-4 a few months ago for comparison:

Ugh... That drive home was brutal. Pouring rain, bumper to bumper on the 64 all the way to the 295, wound up having to take backroads. 95 was bumper to bumper all the way from the 295 entrance, so we wound up having to take the 1 all the way up. VA Beach to DC on a normal day, 3 hours or so. VA Beach to DC on a 4th weekend, 8 hours =(

I'm trying to fit in as many events as possible this season. Seemed like a good idea at the time... I had no idea the traffic would be in the vicinity of stop and go over 100 miles from DC.

Corolla GTS, but yea, that was me. Yea, the wet was a bit interesting. First time I drove the car in any type of aggressive manor and first time driving competitively in 3 years (summer of 06 was my last season for Nurburgring/Hockenheim open days), so I took it easy my first run and got a 48 with an off course. Second run I ramped it up a bit more and got a 45 so I started feeling better. Then the rain set in... Traction was pretty poor for my setup in that condition and wound up with consecutive 48's the next two runs.

I may make the trip down, I'm unsure. Right now I'm in the middle of brokering a deal for a 260Z and if it goes through, I may be busy with it instead. Things are up in the air right now. Only thing I know for sure is that I'm attending the SCCA event at FedEx Field this weekend.
