Second run I ramped it up a bit more and got a 45 so I started feeling better. Then the rain set in... Traction was pretty poor for my setup in that condition and wound up with consecutive 48's the next two runs.

I may make the trip down, I'm unsure. Right now I'm in the middle of brokering a deal for a 260Z and if it goes through, I may be busy with it instead. Things are up in the air right now. Only thing I know for sure is that I'm attending the SCCA event at FedEx Field this weekend.
i hope you did not drive from nova with all that camber in it. it was my first outing, i am hooked lol. i got home and was telling my wife about it and once i was done her response was "so are you planning on getting involved in that too" i was trying to talk her into riding with me or even driving but she was not to into the whole turning thing lol.

^ Get her to try it. My wife was ho hum about it then took the novice school, she loves it. Shes run a few events and wants to run more soon.

Heres video from one of my runs this Sunday. Its not my fastest run, slower by a little over 1/10th, cause that somehow disappeared off of the camera after my daughter was playing with it. The only difference between that one and this one is I seemed to smooth out my shifting for my final run. You really have to wind these things up to get them to go really fast.

Not from NOVA but we drove back (which was worse as it was 8 or so hours on the road) with it as it was raining hard and we were just trying to get out of dodge. It doesn't hurt the tires as much as one would think. I had the same setup in Germany on my Corolla over there and I used to drive with much more aggressive camber (as I had smaller wheels) all the time and wouldn't go through an abnormal amount of tires (just a little above normal =P).

i cant see youtube at work. i did not know they had a novice school. what group were you in? what were you driving? novice school would help me some i am sure. my best was a 42.1 on my third run, the 4th i pushed it and almost whiped out the 3 outside cones and killed my momentum in the last lane change by the bleachers. still did a 42.xxx. the second run i almost mowed over the triple gate.

Minimally, every spring TSCC has a novice school. Some years, other local clubs will host a novice school as well and in the fall. They are great for seat time and getting really good instruction.

I ran in the first heat with my white S2000. My best time was a 37.40x which was good for first in class and 1st overall PAX.

Your car handles great (white cobra?) and you did a great job for your first event. You'll do great once you get the hang of it.

That is also true =). The Corolla weighs 2100 wet with half a tank of petrol.

were you number 14? that thing was moving.

i was fightning a push, after talking to milles and sjfeher, i seemed to get most of it out then i went to being loose out. i think i had to much air in my rear tires, they were not getting near the indicators at all. and thanks for the compliment. it was definatley a learning experience. i was pleased that i stayed on course to tell you the truth.

haha, yeah, that was me, 14. Thanks, I'm really starting to get a feel for driving it fast.

Its amazing what affect small changes can have on a car. Do yourself a favor, don't change too much at one time. That'll keep you from really understanding what change did what.

Staying on course is a big deal, especially that course. You gotta know where you're going before you can get there fast.
