Minitruck air bag rear section question
not looking to do anything crazy really. just different. 2 forward 2 reverse i understand, though, that can work too if designed properly.
How many trucks have you bagged?
If it were me and my first bag job, I'd keep it clean and simple and just do a bag over axle setup... That is BY FAR the cheapest setup you can run... You said you could get the notches cut at work, yes? Then you should be able to get all the other brackets cut, yes?

well i will see how it looks. i will admit this is my first bag drop. i have learned a lot about bags and systems and 4 links and such in the last couple weeks, though i admit the actual experience is not there. i am going to look at nftuatn's s10 chassis tomorrow and if i like it i will end up using it all or parts of it. if not, i will continue with my current chassis.
From what I understand about him, he knows his shit... Good idea to look at a laid out setup for tackling your own... If you're still unsure, do more homework... Theres PLENTY of info on baggin trucks out there...
Edit: If you weren't all the way on the coast I'd load up a couple of the guys, a welder, a couple grinders and a sawzall and come help you... I'm always down to help a minitrucker in need...

Then I'd just keep it simple and clean w/ bag over axle... Thats your best bet for your first bag job and a daily... A 50/50 link setup is worse that a full reverse... you want ALL you're link bars going the same direction unless you're running a 5 link or 6 link aka 3 link w/ canti bars or 4 link w/ canti bars...
smart man here
Not trying to argue but just b/c you did them doesn't mean you did them correctly... 9/10 bagged trucks on the road are hack jobs... I've seen plenty of stuff come out of a well known shop in Elliston that turn out to be hacks...

i am going with a friend who has done a few setups and has hands on experience. the huge amount of information i have absorbed online in the last two weeks still isnt hands on you know. bag over axle is what i was thinking, because of the simplicity and the travel i would need i should be able to get from the bag kit i was looking at. ill just have to wait and see how it goes tomorrow.
