Who to polish exhaust head shields?
Who can take care of polishing the heat shields that go on my headers? You can see from my quick attempt with my dremel on the top one in the picture why I am looking to pay someone to do this for me...I'm not patient enough for this sort of thing.

anyone who owns some sand paper and polish can do it, but it is better to coat it. Notice how your heat shields are rusting? If you sand down deeper, your taking off the anti corrosion layer and exposing the steel. It will most likely rust easier.
So...who would you have coat these? The whole reason I'm going back to heat shields is the Jet Hot on my headers is slowly pitting away, and everybody I talk to says that if I have it redone it will just repeat itself.
i had a set of manifolds done at precision powder coating...the only one on here that seems to have had a problem with them is cobrab4...
but ive been dealing with them for years...never had an issue...

For crying out loud, why is EVERYTHING southside? Isn't there any place that provides a service I need that I can drive to without spending $20 in gas?
lol..
i think penninsula custom coatings is up in the burg...look them up...they should be able to do it...
and honestly normal powdercoat should be fine on those

Oh, and I just calculated it - round trip to precision powder coating would cost me $25 in gas...f my V8.
Can't go wrong with Peninsula Custom Coatings - their website lists 2 "galeria de fotografias."

Does "chrome" powdercoating look like real chrome? I've been saving up to get new chrome for my car (really anodized aluminum), but at $1500 without the bumpers (and another $1500 for the bumpers) this would seem to be a lot cheaper...
