Gotcha. I wish the '04-'05 STI hood scoops fit the '06-'07 model. My roomate/best friend hit a deer last year in his '06 STI, and he fixed everything but the hood scoop. The deer ended up knocking out a few plastic prongs within the opening of the scoop and it looks so ghetto. He wanted to put an '04-'05 scoop on since he recently upgraded to a CX racing top mount (cheap ebay brand but its a good bit larger than the stock STI one), but when he found out it woundn't fit, he just got lazy and kept the busted one on, lol. He's talked about putting a Seibon cf one on in its place but i'll believe it when I see it.

 

there's conversion kits for it.

i forget who makes them, but an 04/05 sti scoop looks dumb on the 06/07.

 

Hm, i'll look into it. I personally love the 04/05 scoop, but I guess i'd have to see it on an 06/07 model to judge whether or not I liked it. They aren't too dramatically different, so I couldn't imagine it looking "bad" so to speak.

 

no, they are pretty different. the 04/05 looks like a backhoe shovel compared to the sleeker 06/07 scoop. it just doesn't look right.

 

Gotcha. Well, I think he's gonna go for a more aggressive look here soon anyways. He pretty much does what I tell him to do to the car, lol. I recently got him into the whole fitment/hellaflush thing. He's planning on ditching his Cobb Tuning springs/18"x8.5" Agency Powers for some D2 coilovers (I tried to talk him into the Stance GR+ but he wants the D2's b/c the camber plates will be purple) and some purple/polished lip 18"x9.5" J-Lines. We're also gonna roll his fenders and put his 235's on the 9.5"s for a mild stretch.

 

let me know when he does get rid of those springs. i've been looking for something lower than my sti pinks and cobb has discontinued their springs (probably because they're too low for the crybabies on nasioc).

 

Will do. He's planning on doing it with his tax return. The condo we live in is his name (BIG help from his mommy & daddy but its whatever, more power to him) so he's gonna get a big tax write off this year b/c he's now technically a home owner, and he plans on blowing all of it on his car. He's also very anti-forum for whatever reason (he ALWAYS feels the need to make fun of me for being on so many forums), which doesn't exactly help him on his quest for a wingless white trunk, so if you see any white wingless trunks pop on on the Subie boards, PM me and i'll let him know. Rather, he'll take any wingless trunk, b/c if he can't find a white one, he'll take any color and have it painted in black chalk board paint (my idea).

 

yeah, good luck with the wingless trunk considering every motherfucker with a subaru wants one. he's better off just getting whatever wing he has ripped off and repainting it.

at least he doesn't have a color that was offered for only one year.
