skateboarding in the 757
hey guys, I'm from Buffalo, NY about to move to Virginia Beach in 3 weeks. I've skated all my life, had to take a year off with a back injury from hockey but I'm just starting to skate again. I've worked at a shop since I was 15, and my buddy left our shop 3 years ago to start Sunday. Not sure if anyone's heard of it, but one of their riders won Slap's One In A Million last year and is now on real, spitfire, adidas, etc. they've also got guys getting shoes from nike sb & vans, and they were on the cover of sb's website for about a year
What shops are there down there? I'll probably buy an extra deck before I leave here (sunday's shop boards are the same wood as alien workshop and they're only $40). but I always like to check out shops
Are there outdoor parks down there? do you have to wear a helmet (indoor or outdoor)? most of the parks here only require them if you're under 18 (I'm 24).
I actually prefer to skate street. I grew up in a city and never really had the chance to skate transition growing up. If someone could put me on to some spots that would be cool. A good ledge spot is all I need. My friend that I'm moving in with skates as well, I grew up skating with him
nike sb team was in town this past week. pretty cool to go out every night and see brian anderson, omar salazaar, and everyone. koston and janoski were here as well but I did not see them.
anyway I'll be down there soon, hope to do some skating

youll want to go to norfolk and pourtsmouth for some other spots.
there are some parks, trashmore and plaza( just a helmet) are the main ones but theres some out in other regions.
I usually go to richmond or raliegh 2 times a month, spots there are fun.

I'm down for norfolk, I'm going to be staying like 10 miles from there
also a girl I went to high school with lives in richmond, I'm sure she wouldn't mind me crashing there so I'd like to come do that as well
