Found that. Only thing I cant find is if I need to drain the gas before I do that.
no.. you dont.. remove the front seat. (2 bolts in the back, you have to pull up the cushion to get them), You losen the bolt under the front seat (1 turn is enough). Then you take the 2 bolts out fromt he front of the tank under the bars.
Lift it up and using string, straps or bungee's hook it to the seat latch bar under the seat.
You get gas everywhere and I work on my bike inside. So it is nice. Either A/C or heated.
Gas and carpet dont mix. Besides... when you take your tank off.. that is when accidents happen. I am always hearing about somebodies shit getting run over by a girlfriend pulling in. or kicked, something else be knocked over on it.
It is easier this way. when I am finished... 4 bolts and I am ready to ride and I dont smell like fuel.
Hey guys i have a k3 750 gsxr and i know the stator went out because the wires were burned up. Replaced the stator and a new battery and it died over night. Do you think its the rectifier or is there something else that could be wrong?
find a volt meter and test the charging system.. but i would replace the rectifier in any clase
