08 r1, and yes i tried it last night, but i couldnt really get a feel for it, because it wasnt wanting to shift right so i swapped it back just to get the bike back to the normal, but it still wants to act up either way.
im trying to get my bike to stop not shifting right. thats all i care about if i can get that done ill gp shift it again. but it seems hard enough to accomplish SHIFTING IN GENERAL. lol
whats it doing, maybe your clutch needs adjusting, maybe its not releasing totally, and hence the stubborn shifting. Ive seen my boys 07 R1 do that, we adjusted it and we've never had a problem since
also a lot of slack in the shifter arm. etc could be making the shifter no be able to go thru its motion fully, like hitting something. check for that too

honestly it kind of feels like thats the issue like it gets hung up on something. ill have to readjust the arm then make sure its not hitting anything. heading outside now to tinker with it.
but now that i think about it, it still did that when it was gp shifted, and that has the connector all the way above everything that it would hit on unless its hitting on something towards the back....... hmmmm
