yeah !!! dont waste ur time on a (mini me) the only thing you'll gain will be that u can say u have "vtec"!! an that doesnt sound like power in the d series world!!! i dont know whats ur friend's buget is? but next cheapest swap would be b18a/b,b20, or even h23 non vtec ! an sence we're talking about ebay u have tons of option when it come to cheap mounts!!

It all depends on what you're building the car for... Example: I have a street driven car... It will see track time... I have a limited budget.... Therefore, D series motors are easy and cheap to build and parts are EVERYWHERE for them... I'm only lookin for 300hp b/c I want to set my car up for twisties... I'm not lookin for some track monster I can't enjoy on a day to day basis... But yet again, thats just my style of car building... I build clean and conservative project cars/trucks...

Intercooler piping, fuel management, injectors, fuel pump, and most importantly, a good tune!

Actually, if you know what you are doing and hunt for the good prices you can still get a cheap and reliable setup. I did my z6 for alot cheaper than most and still had it running as good as stock for more than a year.

well i guess your right on the easy part!; cuz if u do have the motor already in the car and in healthy condition slaping on a cosmetic gasket and turbo sounds the easiest, but then again if the motor isn't built the relaibility will never be there!! but I still say swaping her would be the best, keep in mind the value does go up, this is the reason we buy hondas!! can i get an amen aaaaaaaamennnnn!!lol!!!
