Real vs. Fake
I get the whole real vs. fake debate, but I what I don't understand, is why people think it's baller to put $5000 wheels on a car that's worth MAYBE $1500.. I don't get how it's "status" to spend crazy money on wheels to put on a car worth 1/4 of the the "value" of the wheels.
Can someone explain?

The scene is all about the level of dope status nowadays. Take a MK2 Jetta for example. If it were stock with 150k miles on it and decent body, it could go for $1500-2000. Do a half assed vr6 swap, put some shitty knockoff coilovers and a $2000 wheel and tire setup and it is instantly dope status. Now you can sell it for 5k with wheels and 3k without just because it now has status.
this is straight going off what you said. if the body is worth 1500 - 2000, we can just say the "half assed" vr6 swap is worth an extra 500 dollars, knockoff coilovers (who made a name for themselves in the community) and 2000 dollar wheel setup, 4k to 4500 dollars, sounds like a fucking steal to me.

ujelz bro?

to be perfectly honest, i care more about wheels then i care about cars, my car is just a place holder for my wheels. i know it sounds dumb, but i have a crazy passion for wheels.
you sound really dumb right now.
