Default 2001 BMW 525i, cheap, needs engine work

Car:
2001 BMW 525i sport package, black exterior with grey leather interior, auto with Steptronic, sunroof, most all options, 8 spoke 17" alloy wheels, clean title.

Does not run currently as it appears the head gasket failed. The car was pulled over as soon as the head gasket failed and it blew coolant/steam, so it *could* just be a head gasket. However, the engine has not been torn into to determine if there is any further damage. Car has about 250K miles, but does not show it. This car was driven by an outside sales person all over the state, running up mostly highway miles. Brakes function correctly, but needs an ABS pump for the ABS to function correctly.

Would make a great track day car or repair for daily driver. I am helping a friend sell this and not really sure what it is worth. I don't have an acutal picture, but it is really your run of the mill 525i with very minor scratches/nicks/dings. The body was pretty well taken care of.

$2000 OBO, PM me or reply for more info or to look at the car. I may be able to get some real pics...car is at a shop.

Thanks,
Aaron

Coming from the head area?

How much minimum is the seller trying to get? Or do they just want it gone?

Also is there a real pic of the car? The thumbnail is a grey car. Your car is black.

If it goes for under $1000 I might. A 525i with a blown head gasket isn't worth much.

I'm also looking at a 91 318 sedan for possible $400 or less that runs too.

naw I'll throw in a 427 carb in it. Juice it up to 580 hp at 620 lb.ft and call it a day.
