Anyone have experience with ODU's BSME/MSME program?
that is weird. One of them is wrong obviously lol.
The HR guy I was talking to sounded like he knew how it all worked. The reason I say that is because I asked if I got my MS in a few years, if my salary would be increased by $6k/yr (64k-58k=6k). He told me it is adjusted by the difference in percentage of whatever the rate is then, and my years would be accounted for as well.
Maybe what you were told is pertaining to MS ENMA specifically? I dont know.

That's the one thing I like about NG; it seems easy to transfer around to different departments and even different sectors.
Im also thinking about probably going for an MBA but also maybe get a masters in ME or something in the lines of nuclear or aerospace. Do you think its reallly worth it? Will I get an increase in pay or does that depend on the company?
I mean, with the masters, would you want to stay with your current dept/position? I know I'll be wanting to move around often until I hit an age where I need/want stability.

Its great having dreams for big things, but generally speaking that just sounds a little unfocused. Those two just seem to be on two different paths. One towards the business and corporate side, the other more technical research.

Thats why I'm probably just going to stick with the MS in ME. Reseraching doesn't sound that bad but some of my professors look like zombies. We had a professor that did 90+hours in research and also taught two classes.
Im also interested in studying different areas. From all the lectures I have heard, ME seems the most flexible to move into different engineering areas.

You applied to other places right. And depending how well you did in college earning the BSME you should have gotten a quick reply (minimum GPA was a 3.0). But thats also a good thing to learn since I am about to apply to Northrup as an intern. I know all the CEO's and higher up peoples children get jobs first but thats usually with every company.
I thought that too, untill i heard the Supervisor of the one department i interveiwed for also lives in Pungo.
