say you have an eg civic. its fixed up, lowered, wheels, jdm parts, etc...and you wreck it....all those aftermarket parts aren't promised to be covered by insurance, so u're out of luck...and when that's the case, would you rather have lost $500 in Rota's, or $3000 in BBS'?

are rotas made cheaper than bbs? yes. obviously. why else would they cost less? i understand a markup, but if you want to call a spade a spade, BBS would have gone out of business a long time ago if a cheaper asian company can make the same quality wheel for a fraction of the price.

but if you just DD ur car, want wheels that fit a certain offset need, or style need, why waste money on something that will never be used the way it was intended/sold for? that's like these fuckers that have a 3ft lift on a pickup, with 24" chrome wheels and low-pro mud tires, yet keep their shit armor-all'd in the mall parking lot.

why spend money to impress people on the internet? which is really what this thread is about. idgaf what any of you think of how i spend my money...i may ask for advice, but if wheel A and B look identical and fit the same, why the hell would i pay 4x more for a sticker that's the only difference between the two?

 

I've never understood this logic. That's like saying you shouldn't wear nice shirts because you might spill something on them and ruin them. I don't understand why you would ever buy something cheaper or of lesser quality because you're afraid of it getting destroyed. Why not just buy something nice and enjoy the time that you have with it?

let's say this....you're a cheeseburger fan....and you have the choice between two burgers...each have the same ingredients and look the same, and taste the same. one costs $2. The other is from a fancy restaurant, and costs $20. why are you going to buy the $20? so people can think you have more money to throw around? to impress people who really don't care? or as a penis extension of some kind?
