I tried to get the free pass and was told that even though I had never done a HPDE (only Auto-X), since I was already a NASA member I didn't qualify, it was only for new NASA members. FYI

Mike Davidson (IIRC his name is DrftWzrd on here) raced SpecE30 competitively last two years IIRC. He's now moving on to bigger and faster things.
Brett Baker (Axelerate) has a Spec e30 car that he currently tracks in HPDE4. He is also an instructor for NASA.

Yeah. I think he got a helicopter called in for support or something.
Still, Definitely wish all the luck for him. Never met him personally I dont think, but its still awesome to see a local who hangs out in the same circles I do (kinda) making it pretty big.
