If you don't mind me asking, why? If you're looking for a used engine and trans, there are better routes. Not only that, it is becoming EXTREMELY difficult to source one nowadays. I spent years trying to find a decent donor without just buying the engine and trans separetely, and I never really succeeded. Not to say that it's impossible, just very hard.

Good luck.

full totaled STI on auto trader, 06, with 40k miles. going for around 6k full interior and engine. the front left was smashed, so i dont know how wel the engine faired.

bet you could convince them the motor is useless and get it down to maybe 4 or 5k

good find

What are you trying to buy off the car?

These cars unless they have SEVERE body damage I am willing to bet, get welded together and sold again. Not exactly the type of car you see forgotten about in a junk yard.

Unfortunately, I have pretty extensive experience when it comes to Subaru's and junkyards. lol All I can say is every one that I see only lasts a few days; my WRX was damn-near completely disassembled and sold after literally 5 days after it arrived at the lot(and it wasnt even an STi)

Your best bet is going to be to search in the Manassas/Woodbridge/NOVA area......hell, I'd bet good money there's at least three or four(if not more) sitting up in PA somewhere......Subaru's are EVERYWHERE up there.

an STi is going to be nearly impossible to find at your average pick-and pull lot, or even a public salvage yard.
