Jan 24 autocross at VMP!
The drive was a bit much but I had a ton of fun. Great course layout, especially coming out of the sweeper flat out and still being full throttle going through the chicane and down to the second slalom.
had fun! Yea... pretty much did a burn-out all the way around. Went faster when I had less power. If I was still in D class I would have gotten beat really good. My friend David did really well as I suspected!! 4th over-all, Kudos.
.
Yea, I really did enjoy my time and I have the rest of the autocrosses down at VMP added to my race calendar for the year.
The circuitcrosses, those are at VIR right? That's way too far for a trip in the Corolla. No heat/AC, no comfort, no radio and only the drone of my annoying 20 valve 4AG driving me nuts for hours would be way too much.
It's too bad you dont like CDC, they're good folk. I rent garage space from Ed Chan and the Moran's are good people too.

. Not that I don't like CDC, I prefer NASA. The coarse layouts are better the average speed on a NASA coarse if I were to guess is 20mph higher, and I have friends that do NASA and not CDC. It's preference, I prefer driving farther and attending NASA events. Im used to driving far anyhow for events so it's no big deal, went as far as Chicago last year. I do a couple of CDC a year though.
