It actually has a very good view. Unlike most camera mounts where the camera is mounted between the driver and passenger seat, the camera is in a position closer to the driver and of course in the center. It was originally connected to the computer in the car, but the computer really can't handle encoding video (not a powerful enough processor, and I am working on that part now). The wife got me a digital camcorder for x-mas so that is what I am using to actually record the video. I can then easily encode it so the I can put the videos up on the internet, etc.
