hahaha the carb-rebuilding faqs that say JIS phillips screws will strip with american or euro drivers were obviously correct.
I've been checking the net for steel replacement float bowl screws for an ex-250 but have come up short, are there any or are we stuck with the brass ones?
if you can get to the screw head... cutting a slit with a dremel will usually make it so you can use a flathead.
That is just a thought... I am not sure exactly what your talking about... but thought I would offer up the suggestion.

atleast 30 or 40 pot holes before you get to London Bridge. And I mean.. big fuckers!

Oh yeah, i've already done that. I'm just not trying to reuse these when I put it back together. Since this seemed to be a common problem with these carbs I was shocked to not find any steel replacement kits.
