i'm just a local, so i feel that i'm allowed to bitch about tourism, and i consider military tourists

 

I've lived here for going on 7 years... I think it's good for the area. This place wouldn't be bult up as much w/o the military in place. I mean the beach is nice and all but it's not spectacular or anything.

EDIT: If you don't want to deal w/ the noobfags just don't go to Peabody's on certain nights. Stick to the Chic's beach area and you'll be fine. Well then you'll have to deal with team guys who think they're Jesus, but that's better than sailor noobs

true, the military cats do alot for virginia beach, i've grown up with the city to be honest, i've been here for 21 years, and i stay away from peabrody's as much humanly possible, although i was going to go last weekend because my gf from baltimore wants to see how bro it is, i've gone to chics maybe once, i usually stay at northend in the summertime, even croatan has become overrun with tourists and navy's

they'll be gone soon enough , i on the other hand, have 0 desire to live anywhere else in teh country.

 

I'm talking about bars... not the actual beach... last I checked the North End has no bars... just homes and Fort Story.

ahhh gotcha, i've been to a few bars, but i do have my favorte, and thats the lynnhaven pub. very lax place and nearly no military.
