It is the JGTC spec lip. It creates downforce, promotes airflow through the radiator, and has some break cooling ducting.

They even put some sort of plastic over the grill so the air goes exactly where they want it. From what I can tell they are running a small (maybe T28) turbo on their high compression H22 and are making 280hp! Watch the video!
