There are people that will still end up leasing the car just to say they own one for a short period of time. That deal is just so bad.

I'm sure there's already a long waiting list. For me, it all comes down to heritage. Toyota/Lexus simply does not have the heritage/background/credentials to justify their marketing program/scheme for this overpriced vehicle. Escpecially when the GTR offers presumably comparable performance, at a mere fraction of the price.

I won't even begin to delve into how retarded Lexus looks next to the Italian and German supercar manufacturers.

you guys realize 12 grand/month is chump change to some people, and this car is targeted for those people.

The thing we are talking about is how Lexus is only offering this car as a lease, where you'll pay $12k/month for 2 years, then if you do not opt to pay another $90k at the end of the lease, you end up owning nothing. I don't care how much money you have, $300,000 to own something for 2 years is a ripoff.

The reason lexus is doing such a thing is to avoid people buying the sold-out-everywhere LFA, then reselling them at a higher price. Ferrari has done the same thing with the Enzo and FXX. The thing is Lexus is a mickey mouse organization compared to the Enzo or FXX.

i would imagine if you can afford the300k of payments over the course of 2 years then another 90k shouldnt be a problem.

one could say the same about the introduction of the ford GT

..and that kind of also applies when honda whipped out the NSX

Is it just me or is that shit kinda ugly? I'd definitely rather have something different for that amount of money, and something way better looking. meh

About the lease, yes, 90k shouldnt be a problem, but it's the concept that lexus actually believes that someone would 'borrow' a car for 300k over 2 years.

And the ford gt and nsx were kinda diffrent. Ford and Honda have been in racing forever.
