compression numbers
i did a compression test because my motor sounded rough and i was blowin smoke out the exhaust (guessing im burning oil).
The Numbers are
#1-180
#2-180
#3-180
#4-180
from what ive read, this is good and my motor is healthy but it runs rough as hell and blowin smoke out the exhaust.
any ideas what this could be?

Re: compression numbers
running rough could be a number of things, but check your spark plug seals, maybe the oil is leaking thru to the cyl and also causing a dead spark. see if the tubes are filled with oil.

Re: compression numbers
The O2 sensor would definitely cause it to run rich, yes. The white smoke... well, that might be a head gasket failure. Whether or not the O2 sensor could be the cause of the head gasket failure... who knows. Maybe though, if you've been beating on the engine without an O2 sensor for a while. Hard to say. If you have another problem also, like a timing issue, that could also cause detonation or pre-ignition and cause very damaging spikes of cylinder pressure.
