Valve Lash Adjustment
Can I use the valve lash tool that works on a car on my motorcycle or do I need a specialized tool to measure the lash?
Also any advice?

I really hope that was a joke.
And yeah, a feeler guage is a feeler guage. Most of them are numbered in SAE and metric.
Just make sure you're on the compression stroke when you measure, and you want a SLIGHT drag on the feeler guage when you slide it thru.

yea you can use the same feeler gauge for car/bike. it's the same tool. the only difference is clearance required to be able to get the tool in there. I don't know anything about your ninja's engine but I'm pretty sure it requires valve cover removal to be able to get the gauge in there.
Also I think you might need a special tool to make valve adjustment practical. (Kawasaki part 57001-1220)
Here's a tut for the ninja 250. It should give you a general idea of what to expect.

Also a special set of Kaw feeler gauges is recommended but you can use standard ones just the same.
