Got to make one "fun run" for being in the car show at the Super Chevy event @ VMP today. Turns out I was the only show car to run in the 12s out of about 40 that made passes. Not too bad for having to start out of the groove on fully aired up street tires w/o any prep. It's been awhile since I've made a 1/4 mile pass, but it was like riding a bike. Nice to be able to say the red vert is a 12 second car now. The MPH is pretty strong of a regular LS1 C5.

Also won my class in the car show.... all in all a really fun day hanging out w/ TravisND and others.

Nice run Brian. Some DR's and a few more passes should get you mid-low 12's. I ran 12.4 in my c5 @ 112.

The car could go mid-low 12s with that mph and a better 60-ft, but I didn't buy the car for drag racing and being a vert it's too fast to run test/tune nights. This was just for shits and giggles to see what it'd run. I ran a 12.156 @ 116.8 back in summer 2004 out there in my Z06 when it only had and intake and Borlas... so I guess the vert still has a way to go to be as fast as that car was when stock.

Have you run the GT500 since doing the mods? What'd it run?

It's fuckin' boss man Compared to the winners jackets from previous years this one is actually nice and low key w/o a huge logo on the back etc. I'm going to start wearing it to the car shows
