Congratulations on the win! The vert you have is the one that had the diff changed out recently correct? Either way, nice run.
Correct.... just had VaSpeed install some 3.90s... allowed the car to run 12s w/ a horrid 60-ft. For the record the car only has an air intake and Corsa exhaust.... no LT headers, stock manifolds and cats are on still. OEM PCM tune too.

.. and sounds like no fast cars were there jk.
Yeah I heard they really effed up the beach show this year by trying to be greedy and move the cars to a lot and charge admission etc.... that's horrible.
There were plenty of fast cars.... just apparently the people that chose to take advantage of their "fun run" were either slow, owners couldn't drive, or a combo of the two
Was funny to see a Chevy SSR guy bragging about his LS2 when the announcer asked him about his car then run a mid 15... ugh.

lol really? When I take my car to the track I don't brag about my grocery getter is quicker than some people expect. I'm not saying I'm fast and try to race everyone, but people look at my car and think I'm running high 15s and are surprised when they hear of an Altima running 14.2s. I don't really think that's bad for a 4 door FWD Naturally Aspirated V6, but I don't go around saying my car is fast even though people think it's slower than what it is. Also I only take it to the track to run for fun and I don't bring it to events trying to show it off. It's just a daily driver/no problem car that I can have fun with though.
Edit: Oh what the fuck was Chevy thinking about when it made the SSR and the HHR? Those are possibly the two ugliest cars that were made in the past 10 years.

FYI for the fun runs when you pulled up the announcer asked who you were, where you were from, what was done to you car etc. etc. This one guy was quite proud that his SSR had an LS2 vs. the older ones with the 5.3.... he then ran like a 15.5.... was pretty funny.

I think he just was a shit driver, because my dad used to have an 01 supercharger Grand Prix with an Ls1 and was running low 13s. So I looked it up and:
The host of "Tool Time" would grunt about the 30 percent more horsepower and 22 percent added torque that the '05 SSR picks up from the Corvette-sourced LS2 6.0-liter V-8. With the new Tremec six-speed manual 'box, the 4760-lb SSR will blast to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and through the quarter in the 13.8s, more than two seconds faster than the '03-'04 models.
Yeah they really change the personality of the car... much more Z06ish. With some LTs and a tune the car would probably trap 115-116 which is right there w/ an LS6.
